Carey has served as Cornerstone's Ministry Assistant since 2013. She is a military brat and wife and thus moved a lot! Both her father and husband served in the Corp of Army Engineers, each retiring after over 20 years of service. She has had the privilege of living in Germany, Iowa, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Missouri, Washington, North Dakota, Arizona, Kansas and finally settling in North Carolina.  She and her husband John and their adult children have made Cleveland their home for the past 20 years.

She has been a member of Cornerstone since 2010 and is very involved in our Awana program, currently providing administrative support, but has served as a Cubbie Leader and as Awana Commander.  

Carey is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
